Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Optimization Engineer to focus on the core YieldBuild algorithm. As a member of the Software Engineering team, this person will collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and customers to build a world class yield optimization solution for web site publishers.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on design and implementation of sophisticated machine-learning optimization engine
• Analyze and interpret results into requirements for the core optimization algorithm
• Write high quality, performant code
• Design pragmatically for a very high-scale application
Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Operations Research, Mathematics, Optimization or related quantitative field
• Extensive knowledge of optimization theory
• Strong coding skills with a get it done attitude
• Excellent object-oriented design skills
• Strong database design skills, MySQL, DB2 or Oracle preferred
• Good communications skills to work well as part of a small, 100% San Francisco-based team

Designer

Requirements:
• 5+ years development experience
• Expert hands-on knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Fluency in PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Experience creating beautiful comps and translating them into clean code
• Knowledge of developing cross platform/browser compatibility for dynamic web applications
• Adherence to web standards, as well as optimized CSS and semantic mark up
• Understanding of color theory, typography, balance, alignment, and flow
• Experience with source/version control
• Strong leadership skills – ability to manage and mentor junior designers
• Self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work together in groups
• Establish practice to organize development of design features for many different areas of our company
• Ability to design anything from a business card to an html email

Desirable:
• Experience with Flash and/or After Effects
